Our LEG Up! to series: LEG Up! to Work, LEG Up! to Retail, LEG Up! to Hospitality and LEG Up! to Material Handling courses are the first steps to working on your employment goals with KW Career Compass. Referrals for these 10-week courses are received thru Developmental Services Ontario and on a fee for service basis. Each course includes 32 hours of in class learning, hands-on skill evaluations in the community, practice interviews with community partners, literacy evaluations, and the opportunity, once the course is complete, to connect with a job coach for ongoing support. By seeing the students in action at skill evaluations, we get a chance to observe hard and soft skills and begin to develop a rapport. Following the course, an employment planning meeting is held to discuss next steps.
