Waterloo Region is full of Art!

In 2002 Waterloo Regional Council agreed that public art enhances the well-being of a community, so they approved the Waterloo Public Art Program. As a result, there is art all over Waterloo Region that tells our stories. Some unique art installations are meant to interrupt everyday thinking and open our eyes to new possibilities. There is art all along the ION corridor, along walking trails and throughout our parks.

There are maps available where you can walk along a trail and view all the different art pieces along the way. Some of the collections available include the Downtown Stroll, Uptown

Trek and the River Walk. There is also new art being created. The Region of Waterloo invites local Indigenous artists to submit proposals for a large scale, mural to be displayed at the

Region of Waterloo International Airport. Click below to learn more about the art in Waterloo Region and experience a different kind of connection to your community.
