Weekdays offers person-directed community participation services for adults with developmental disabilities in Waterloo Region.
Whether someone enjoys exploring the community, spending time with friends, learning new skills, volunteering, or taking part in creative activities, Weekdays provides consistent support that helps people build confidence, relationships, and a sense of belonging.
People participate in small groups based on shared interests, compatibility, and support needs. Every day is shaped by what matters most to the people taking part.
Weekdays combines the flexibility of community participation with the consistency of a Monday to Friday service.
Each person works alongside Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to explore their interests, build relationships, and take part in meaningful experiences in their community.
Rather than following a fixed schedule of activities, each day is co-designed with the people who are participating. Together, we decide where to go, what to do, and who to spend time with.
No two days look exactly the same.

Activities are based on the interests of the people attending and may include:
Exploring local cafés, parks, and neighbourhoods
Volunteering in the community
Fitness and recreation
Arts and creative activities
Cooking and meal preparation
Learning new skills
Visiting local events and attractions
Building friendships and social connections
As interests change, activities change too.
Weekdays @99 offers a balance of community exploration and a welcoming home base.
People spend time in the community travelling extensively on the GRT while also using the building as a place to gather, connect, and plan future activities. Experiences are co-designed with participants and reflect the interests of the group.
Weekdays @115 is designed for older adults and people who benefit from a quieter pace or higher levels of support.
Activities often take place within the building or nearby community and may include inviting community members into the space, shared meals, creative activities, wellness opportunities, and social experiences that support connection and belonging.
Weekdays is built around what matters most to each person.
Our approach is:
Person-directed
Interest-based
Flexible
Community-focused
Relationship-centred
Small groups allow people to receive individualized support while creating opportunities to build friendships and share meaningful experiences.
