Weekdays

Weekdays offers person-directed community participation services for adults with developmental disabilities in Waterloo Region.

Whether someone enjoys exploring the community, spending time with friends, learning new skills, volunteering, or taking part in creative activities, Weekdays provides consistent support that helps people build confidence, relationships, and a sense of belonging.

People participate in small groups based on shared interests, compatibility, and support needs. Every day is shaped by what matters most to the people taking part.

What is Weekdays?

Weekdays combines the flexibility of community participation with the consistency of a Monday to Friday service.

Each person works alongside Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to explore their interests, build relationships, and take part in meaningful experiences in their community.

Rather than following a fixed schedule of activities, each day is co-designed with the people who are participating. Together, we decide where to go, what to do, and who to spend time with.

No two days look exactly the same.

What kinds of activities are offered?

Activities are based on the interests of the people attending and may include:

  • Exploring local cafés, parks, and neighbourhoods

  • Volunteering in the community

  • Fitness and recreation

  • Arts and creative activities

  • Cooking and meal preparation

  • Learning new skills

  • Visiting local events and attractions

  • Building friendships and social connections

As interests change, activities change too.
