National Volunteer Week: Celebrating the People Who Make KW Habilitation Strong

During National Volunteer Week, we are taking time to recognize volunteers who support KW Habilitation in many different ways. Volunteers help build connections, strengthen our organization, and support our mission of helping people live their best lives.

Today, we are celebrating Jeff Collins, who has volunteered with KW Habilitation as a member of our Board of Directors for more than ten years!

Jeff has been part of the KW Habilitation Board of Directors for over a decade and is actively involved with the Fundraising Committee. His connection to the organization began through CEO Ann Bilodeau, and it quickly grew into a long term commitment.

What has kept Jeff involved over the years is the people. He speaks highly of the fellow board members, staff, and most importantly, the people we work for at KW Habilitation. Being part of an organization that focuses on helping people truly thrive, not just get by, is what continues to motivate him.

Making an Impact Behind the Scenes

For Jeff, one of the most rewarding parts of serving on the board is working alongside people who bring both heart and expertise to the table. He especially values watching ideas turn into real initiatives that create meaningful outcomes for everyone at KW Habilitation.

Outside of his volunteer role, Jeff spends most of his time working and being a husband and dad to a young family. When he can, he stays active by playing soccer and enjoys a wide range of hobbies including Lego and chess.

Looking ahead, Jeff hopes KW Habilitation continues to grow in sustainable ways and finds new opportunities to support its programs. At the same time, he hopes the organization always stays rooted in its core values. Building a community where everyone belongs and can actively participate is what makes KW Habilitation special.

We are thankful for Jeff’s leadership, commitment, and advocacy. His volunteer service helps shape the future of KW Habilitation in lasting ways.
