Neighbours Day Event
June 21, 2025
June 21st is Neighbours Day and local musicians will be lending their unique talents by having pop-up concerts in neighbourhoods all over Kitchener. The City of Kitchener is also looking for residents who are interested in hosting a musician/group for a one-hour performance on their porch, driveway, or front yard for their neighbours to enjoy! Performances will be held at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM. If you want, you can work with your neighbours to build additional neighbourhood activities around the concert as well (examples: barbecue, sidewalk chalk display, scavenger hunt). Some funding may also be available to help you host your Neighbours Day event!
Host the musician on your front porch driveway or lawn, provide a power source for the musician’s equipment, water to drink and washroom use if needed during their performance. Then just share the details of the concert with your neighbours, post some lawn signs and enjoy a fantastic Neighbours Day with your neighbours. Apply to host a Neighbours Day concert today!
