On Thursday afternoon, Simon Garcia (left) and Julie Clark (right) attended Open Space at Fairview Mall Food Court from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. When asked what they liked the most about Open Space, Julie said “I like the coffee and talking to people”.

Simon guesses he has been going to Open Space since about 2019. Simon enjoys “Having a nice community where you are talking to people and playing games”. Simon has also been to the Open Space on Mondays 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at Kitchener Central Library. Simon says “That one is really good too because it has a lot of games to choose from”.

Open Space is a weekly gathering that promotes inclusion within the community by getting people together for fun and conversation. All are welcome regardless of ability. The program is run by Extend-A-Family, but you do not need to be supported by Extend-A-Family in order to attend.
