The History of LEG Up!: Making a Difference for Over 10 Years

We met up with our LEG Up! team and took a trip down memory road to give you a short recap of the history of our LEG Up! program!

About LEG Up!

Annita
Annita

Our LEG Up! program aims to empower individuals by enhancing their skills across various aspects of life. It is designed for adults with developmental disabilities and open to the whole community. Our goal at LEG Up! is to remain responsive to the direct funding model and person-directed request for service and to address the large percentage of adults who experience difficulty maintaining employment. The LEG Up! program provides diverse educational and skill-building opportunities. This includes speciality activities as well as offering skill building classes for job seekers waiting for a spot at KW Career Compass (KWCC).  It encompasses categories such as independent living, cooking and baking, employment and volunteering, community inclusion, tutoring, and more.
